I've always felt a strong urge to draw and reflect on my surroundings through sketches and illustrations. Despite a 15 years career in graphic and product design (UI/UX), my drawing skills rarely found their way into my professional projects. Year after year, I longed for the weekends to finally sketch, but looming deadlines often pushed those plans aside.
My creative spirit felt neglected — until the pandemic hit, granting me the time to start an art Instagram account where I could explore different styles and eventually find my unique voice.
Since starting the account in 2020, I’ve realized that 'finding my voice' is not a destination but an ongoing journey. As I evolve, so does my art. It became clear that my work would naturally change as I do, reflecting my growth and experiences.
Art will always be a part of my life, whether through my work, hobbies, or the world around me. I draw inspiration from book covers, magazines, posters and even something as random as shop signs — anything and everything fuels my creativity.
The beginning
of my illustration journey
I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, where I spent my teenage years before moving to Dubai to pursue a career in graphic design. After a decade in the UAE, where I even established my own design studio, I returned to Bulgaria.
Here, I transitioned from graphic design to product design in the IT sector, eventually becoming a team lead for an insurance product. Along the way, I’ve also delved into motion design, though I’m still a beginner in that field.
